From W3Schools to Next.js: How I Taught Myself to Code

I started in 2023 with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP on W3Schools. Reading and typing every example taught me the basics.

Laravel

From 2024 I followed tutorials on Laravel 8. It taught me structure: routes, controllers, models and migrations.

Next.js

In 2025 I moved to Next.js, and everything I had learned finally fit together in one modern stack.

My advice

Build something real after every tutorial. Projects teach what lessons cannot.
